Sheriff Fox Episode 6: The monster of mine

Sheriff Fox, Sonic and Tails are in the energy rock mine's entrance, talking with one of miners, a mole who appears to have spent a considerable amount of time mined; he have a long beard. “Let me see if I get it: You were mined, then you heard a noise, you went to investigate and now, you are saying you saw a monster.” Fiona recaps the story told by the miner

“Yes, that's right! It was big, with many members, horns and large and sharp fangs!” The mole tells how this supposed monster is

“I think we should investigate” Sonic proposes

“I think he needs a doctor, just look at him” Fiona, not believing in this nonsense, points to the mole miner. “It's obvious he's going crazy for spend too long in the mines.”

“I'm not crazy!” The mining denies such affirmation. “But I can't say the same about him.” He whispers to them while pointing to a pickaxe.

“Okay…Fiona, what should we do?” Sonic asks

“Take him to the asylum?”

Then, a noise is heard coming out the mine. “AH! IT’S THE MONSTER!” The miner hides himself behind the two in fear

“OK, now I'm convinced.” Fiona pulls out her laser gun. “Come on, Blue Boy!”

“Right behind you.” Sonic says. He and Fiona walk toward the miner.

“I-I-If you two don't mind...I-I-I would like to s-stay here.” Tails says shaking in fear

“Alright, buddy” Sonic is okay with it. “We won't take much longer”

Inside the mine, both Fiona and Sonic walks alerts to anything suspicious. Like any other mine, it’s too dark and the only source of light are the lamps hanging in the wooden beams that prevent the place from come in collapse

They continue to walk forward when Fiona accidentally kick something, she looks down and a see a bright yellow stone; so, she picks it up. “So, this is an energy rock, uh?”

“Yes, it is.” Sonic confirms. “This single rock you are holding can light up the entire town of Knothole”

“Wow, this is quite amazing.” Fiona comments. Then, that same noise from before is heard again. “It's that noise again!”

“It's louder this time! We must be close.” Sonic mentions.

They came back to move forward towards where the noise came, eventually reach the end of the hallway and then, they see the monster's shadow in the wall. It is just like the old mole miner described: horns, many members and big. Both Fiona and Sonic are ready this supposed monster

They go to face the monster. "Stop right there!" Fiona demands as she point her laser gun to the monster

“What?” For their surprise, this so-called monster is actually just a little miner ant

“Uh, who are you?” Sonic asks

“I am Archimedes, but call me Archy.” The ant introduces himself. “By the way, have you two see Joe? He ran away screaming” Then, Archy yawns; the mine walls amplify it, causing that weird noise.

“Well, case closed.” Fiona put down her laser gun
